We are an introducer appointed representative of Heath Lambert Limited who arrange and administer our insurance products. Heath Lambert are the UK’s leading independent insurance broker and are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
When you or your supporters take out a policy with us, we will donate 50% of the commission or fees we receive to your chosen charity. The amount will depend on the insurance policy type and premium, but as an example based on the average annual premium for combined buildings and contents insurance, the donation generated for your charity would be approximately £32, or £24 based on the average annual comprehensive car insurance premium (both figures according to the AA’s quarterly Insurance Index for Jan 2008). All marketing and promotional material will be provided by us, at no cost to you.
We are able to supply information packs with DVDs for charities. We can also provide customer brochures, A3 and A4 posters and A5 leaflets, which you can distribute to your supporters by their inclusion with your regular magazine or newsletter. We can also provide literature for open days, seminars or for retail shops. All marketing material is free of charge. Examples of the posters are available to view on our website –

Every month your charity will be provided with a donation statement detailing policies sold and any policy cancellations. Donations will be paid to you monthly by cheque or BACS.
Commission and/or fees are generated on all policies sold. Any such payment to Gift is made on the proviso that the insurer will be entitled to take back some or all of it if the policy is cancelled at any time – this is known as clawback. Because we could not recover any donation made to a charity we make monthly donations (usually 12) calculated on the initial commission and/or fee. In the event of a policy being cancelled early we would recalculate the total and amend the final donation(s) accordingly.
A donation will be generated when a policy is sold. A donation will also be generated every time a policy is renewed. If a policy is amended at any time during the course of its term, we are unable to amend the donation amount and it will remain at the level detailed when the policy begins. On renewal a new donation calculation will be made.
Your charity will begin to receive donations approximately 60 days from the commencement date of the policy.
We are currently able to offer motor and home insurance. We plan to introduce travel, pet and motorcycle insurance in the near future along with breakdown cover.
There will be various discounts offered, but currently, if a customer takes out both home and motor insurance with us, there will be a discount of 5%.
We currently have a panel of 16 insurance providers for home insurance and a panel of 9 providers for car insurance. Our panel and rates are subject to change on a monthly basis.

Yes, we believe we are competitive as we use an elite panel of independent insurers. We offer our customers a free no obligation quote which can be obtained either on line or through our call centre.
We do not do any price matching deals as levels of cover and benefits are usually different, meaning it is difficult to compare like for like. The main reason that we do not price match is that we are confident that our premiums are very competitive.
We offer a free no obligation quote which can be obtained either on line or through our call centre. Once the quote process has been completed, the telephone operator will be able to give the customer an estimate of the donation amount generated for a charity. The exact figure will be provided in the policy documents. If the policy is taken out on line, customers will receive a letter detailing the charity benefitted and donation generated after they have received their policy documentation.
Unfortunately not, only one charity can benefit from the sale of each policy. However, should the customer take out another policy with Gift, they can choose a different charity to donate to. A different charity may also be selected at renewal.
Gift Insurance is radically different from other companies as we have chosen to put charity before profits. It is our aim to try and help as many charities as possible. To do this, we have chosen to only keep half the commission/fees received and simply donate the other half to our customers chosen charity as every charity is a worthwhile cause.

Yes, they can switch to Gift at any time but a customer might receive a penalty if they switch mid term, however this will be wholly dependent on which insurer they are with and what terms and conditions there are, so we would suggest speaking to their current insurer before switching.
